On
Wednesday the first of November after two hours,
spent at school, on science class Russian and
American students with their science teacher Mrs.
Givens went to the local river to test its water.
First of all some boys had dressed up the
waterproof costumes and had checked the bottom of
the river. Then we were shared on three groups
one or two Russian students with two or three
American in each one. American students had
special chemistry set and one free test tube.
They filled it with water from the river. Then
we'd added something in the water, it was
chemical thing, and the water became green. Then
we'd put this water in the scale with different
colored water and saw that water from this river
was clean and free from injurious for people
things. After this we took sieve and got some
water from the river and then we started to find
with tweezers any alive organisms, after what
their science teacher gave us books of nature of
this area to find out that organisms we had
found. This told us one more time that the water
was clean and good for live. It was one of main
and important parts of our project. All in
all I like this trip very much. Since I was
little I dreamed to visit the USA, so my dream
came true and I am very happy about that. I'm
very thankful for my host family the Gingrichs.
They are very kind and hospitable. They are cool
and the best to my mind! During being in the US I
made friends with many American teenagers and
improved my English and pronunciation. Now I can
say that I have friends in the USA and looking
forward their coming.
